AREA BUSINESS MANAGER
Area Business Manager is responsible for the supervision and leadership of healthcare representatives within the local geography, sales performance at district level as well at a state level, and the business knowledge of the local landscape to assess key stakeholders plus future trends within the marketplace.
Responsible for supervising operations of the Area/District to include hiring, coaching, representative development, performance management, and the assignment of key "priority" accounts within the medical as well as manufacturing business community.
Develops and implements strategic area business plan, manages area budget and overall responsibility for Profit & Loss at district level in alignment with business expectations.
Effectively plan and conduct plan of action and other meetings with members of the Area and other area’s Management Teams.
Plans, organizes and monitors performance to achieve the business potential of the Area and State.
Works in the field with all members of Area to coach and counsel on improvement of selling skills, product knowledge, and capabilities needed for successful representative development.
Establish and maintain an effective communications system among all members of the Area, Region, and Management Teams.
Maintain required technical expertise in order to respond accurately to all questions regarding products, policies, and business-related issues from customers and representatives.
Has complete understanding of all relevant compliance laws, policies and processes. Ensures actions of self and team are fully compliant.
Ability to coach and encourage associates reporting to you.
Create demand for company products.
Prepare, implement and review Business Plan.
Implement company's sales and marketing strategies.
Develop key loyal customers.
Achieve sales targets as per set norms.
Plan and schedule customer calls and visit customers as per planned and targeted call frequency.
File daily call reports and insights generated as per company norms & submit other relevant reports as per business requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
B. Pharm/M. Pharm Graduate with management degree is preferred.
Previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience preferred with at least three to five years spent in a position with demonstrated leadership across peer and customer groups.
Strong organizational and analytical skills are also required and ability to analyze and draw appropriate conclusions using sales data/call reporting software/applications and able to adapt to information from the market.
Lead through change and deliver on business imperatives is necessary to be successful in this role.
This position will require travel as needed to develop internal and external relationships.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
B. Pharm/M. Pharm Graduate with MBA Marketing will be preferred.
Experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, managed care organizations and manufacturing facilities is preferred.
Previous supervisory experience preferred and ability to develop and motivate others.

Strong working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry as well as manufacturing industry with selling experience as a key distribution channel.
